The term software, in broad terms, is a set of instructions (generally referred to as code) using a programming language such as c#, java, vb, etc. In turn this is positioned between you the client and the device’s hardware. Thus enabling you to use the device.
In simple terms software is an invisible component of a computer system that makes it possible for you to interact with the computer’s physical components/hardware. Thus Software allows a person to communicate with devices, mobile phones, tablets, game boxes, media players etc.
