Minimum session is 2 hours, with at least 20 hours done per calendar month.
How do I apply or register?
Register online
here (Proof of Payment is required). Once we receive your POP and registration, your personal lecturer contacts you within ±2 working days to arrange times that fit your schedule.
Can I do the course part time?
Yes, we are completely flexible with your lesson times, dates and duration. You and your lecturer agree on a schedule that works for both of you. We try and fit into your schedule. You can start any time and a minimum of 20 hours must be completed per calendar month.
🎓 Training & Courses
Where are your campuses? How does it work?
We offer training via our unique 1-on-1 online platform — winner of Best Online Coding Bootcamp 2020 & 2021 by SwitchUp. You get assigned your own expert lecturer who uses interactive software (TeamViewer, MS Teams or Google Meet) to interact with your computer and software as if they were right beside you. No videos. No prerecordings. Just you and your lecturer. We have students from Holland to South Africa!
How does 1-on-1 online learning work?
Your lecturer connects to your computer via
TeamViewer, MS Teams or Google Meet and teaches you live, interacting directly with your screen, code and software — exactly as if they were sitting next to you. It's rated the best learning experience by our students.

Is 20, 60 or 120 hours enough time?
Yes. At School of IT we believe what you learn in ±20 hours (10 days), 3 months or 6 months is more than enough to grasp the concepts and learn practically. Our approach is building real applications and projects so you learn by doing — not just reading. You can then write your international exams to become fully certified.
What computer do I need?
A modern laptop or desktop with a recent processor (i7 equivalent or better) and 8GB of RAM or more is recommended for the best experience. Mac, Windows and Linux are all supported — your lecturer connects via TeamViewer, MS Teams or Google Meet, which work the same way across all three.
What if I cancel or need to reschedule a session?
Your hours are always yours. Just let your lecturer know at least 5 hours before your scheduled lesson and we'll happily reschedule it for you — no hours lost.
What's included in a course?
Depending on the course, your package includes:
- 📘 eBooks and/or Study Guide
- 📝 Professional Notes
- 💻 IDE (development environment)
- 🖥️ Interactive software for live sessions
Resources are dependent on course and availability.
🏅 Certificates & Careers
Is School of IT accredited?
We offer short courses, certificates of completion, and internationally accredited certificates, depending on the course and certification vendor. For example, the PCAP (Python Certified Associate Programmer) is issued and accredited by the Python Software Foundation, CompTIA certifications are accredited by CompTIA, and Microsoft certifications are issued directly by Microsoft. You need 60–75% to pass — making you a higher standard than most. Most courses have multiple international exams available — Python alone has 4!
Are international exams included in the course price?
International certificates/exams are additional in cost as the price depends on the exchange rate when booked. We provide all the resources for the exam and assist you with booking online. You can write at an approved centre near you or via online proctoring — worldwide.
What qualifications do you offer?
We offer short courses, certificates of completion, and internationally recognised certifications including
Microsoft, Oracle, CompTIA, AWS, Python Institute and more. We focus on practical skills and real projects — not just theory.

4 months of graduating. Read success stories here →
